Isn't Halloween a mostly American holiday? Yet it is a huge event in GW.

I like the American Indian feather headdress. That would be very cool, especially with ranger armor.

Anyway, I doubt they'll give us hats for Thanksgiving.

America 'celebrates' the commercial fabrications made by companies who want to sell stuff. Halloween is by no means just an American holiday. It's Pagan in origin.

Halloween and Wintersday is already pretty close right? not that long a wait to get new hats. I can understand the wish for even more hats.... sorta lol.
But this seems unlikely imo.

Halloween didn't become a 'commercial fabrication' until after the 1950s. It is the second largest commercial holiday in America. Nothing wrong with that. Keeps the economy going strong. Why should that be poo-pooed in a time like this? Right? People have their candy, their costumes, their party favors and their parties. That's not a bad thing. Everyone wins.

Being a pagan myself, I understand that Halloweens origins (at least partially) are in the Pagan holiday of Samhain, one which I celebrate. It also has origins stemming from All Saints Day. However, the whole idea of trick or treat bags and going from house to house trick or treating is a very American idea long before the commercialism set in, and low and behold, there are ToT bag drops in GW. Which is why I mentioned that this aspects is more "American". I didn't mean it as good or bad, I just wanted to point out that, whether over-commercialized or not, we in American celebrate Halloween in a big way.

Hats and costumes are a part of Halloween, so I can see why GW would provide those. Thanksgiving is a different type of holiday. More low key and family oriented. Again, I will repeat myself by saying that I doubt GW would be giving out hats for Thanksgiving.

I like how people in this thread are flaming an American-based game company for having too many "Americanized" events.

As for the suggestion, the hats were originally implemented as a sort of evidence that you participated in the festivities. Since Thanksgiving doesn't have any sort of special event aside from the drops, I'd rather they keep it drop-based.
